There is a strange phenomenon I've been watching at the shuk. Beautiful Israeli women crowd vegetable bins and climb over each other to load their agalaot (carts) with smooth, green outer-space looking vegetables I learned are fennel bulbs.
Watching this with interest, I wondered what all the fuss was about. So I set to discover what's so great about fennel. And that led me to a whole new vegetable world I'm only just beginning to explore.
I got so excited about it that I made a new video! You'll see me demonstrate two easy fennel recipes and I share some fascinating facts (at least to me) to start your foray into the vast world of cooking with fennel.
