Welcome to The Kosher Channel's Lag b Omer Recipes Page! Here's the place you'll find links to many delicious to recipes and creative cooking ideas to make the day meaningful and memorable. There's a load of info if you want to know more about why we celebrate Lag b'Omer and learn about the various customs of the day.

One thing we all seem to do is to have a picnic. Perhaps because the weather is predictably warm, perhaps so that we can be ready for that bonfire as the sun sets. What ever the reason, we love to eat outside on Lag b'Omer. That means Lag b Omer recipes have to be portable, uncomplicated and resistant to spoilage.

With this in mind, here are fun and delicious recipes
for your Lag b'Omer menu:

How to make Bonfire Cupcakes:
You'll need: Icing, red and orange food coloring, a small plastic sandwich bag and thin pretzels.

1. To plain frosting in a bowl, add a few drops of red and orange food coloring. Stir gently. The idea is to marbleize rather than blend the colors.
2. Spoon icing into the plastic bag and snip a small hole in a corner.
3. Squeeze frosting in center of cupcake, making an upward spiral.
4. Using the pretzel sticks, "build" the bonfire around the icing.
A cute touch is to place rock shaped candies around the base of the fire.

Please tell me what you think of these Lag b Omer recipes!
